SCROLL DOWN

carlo alcite

Uncovered recently in the basement of a remote Franciscan monastery, the work of Carlo Alcite is the major art-historical discoveries of the 21st century. Little is known about Alcite's life: he is thought to have been born in Genoa in the early 1620s, and to have undertaken a remarkable journey through the Low Countries and Britain to Iceland. I have been commissioned to write a monograph on his work and my  first thoughts are due to be published in June 2018 in the inaugural issue of an experimental American art magazine entitled Flint.
